Outing Locations

FCC 229 units camp at a variety of locations, including:

  • Camps owned and operated by the BSA: These camps are typically located in rural areas and offer a variety of facilities and activities, such as hiking, camping, fishing, and boating.

  • Public lands: Scouts can also camp on public lands, such as national forests and state parks. This is a great way to experience the outdoors without having to pay a large sum for a campsite.

  • Private property: With the permission of the landowner, scouts can also camp on private property. This is a great option for groups that want a more secluded camping experience.
